    b_channel_join_ignore_password for channel groups

    Hi!

I have a question regarding the b_channel_join_ignore_password permisson. When i give it to a channel group, people still can't ignore the password. I need it to be channel specific. Is there any workaround without setting join power?

Is this due to the channel group being assigned after the user joins the channel? Any other solution for being able to do the same thing?

    Thanks

    Edit
Server 3.0.11.2 is outdated. Please update to server 3.0.13.8 first before you read the next part.

Your users just need to press the Return Key on their keyboard or the OK button in the password dialog.
They will be able to join it without knowing the password.

The dialog appears because they have no b_channel_join_ignore_password in the current channel.

    Hey,

is it possible that you change this behavior and hide the popup completely if the user has the ignore-password permission? I like to use passwords as an indicator that channel-access is restricted by join-power and the popup is pretty annoying for this use-case.

    Greetings

The client GUI reacts with current permissions and doesn't know permissions for another channel as long the user did not try to do any interaction with target channel.

The only way to change that behavior is to have permission b_channel_join_ignore_password enabled in current channel.
