Request for Security Lock after inactivity period

    Hi,

To some, Teamspeak client information is sensitive, and, maybe on a device where others might snoop. For this reason, I would like to suggest a simple and new module for Teamspeak to implement, inspired by programs such as KeePassX that already utilize this. When the session is locked, the only thing accessible is a form that requests username and password. This could be the myTeamSpeak functionality, or, a local key and value.

In my configuration, if local, for example:
    • The Teamspeak Client and it's database locks after inactivity of 7200 seconds
    • The password to re-login is 'Edward123' and, if I fail this login more than 3 times, the database is locked for 5 minutes.

Otherwise, I would simply log in through with my existing TeamSpeak credentials!

Why don't you lock your device after x minutes of inactivity?

Locking the database doesn't sound good. This may break things in the client.
You already can protect your data when you set a master password for your client. This protects your database and login from being used somewhere else.

You make a solid point there. It would be a waste of effort to get this feature working properly.

The point is that the client is still running and in use but the database should be locked at the same time.
We need the database to be read or written, while the software is in use.
The right behavior would be close the client/application when the database is going to be locked.

We like that feature but there is no reason to add this at this moment, because the device (computer and mobile) could be locked already.

A security lock after x minutes of activity is a good feature but more convenient to lock the whole device or banking app/website or a password vault.
All these cases include very sensitive data where people could coast you a lot of money in case such feature doesn't exist.
