Apple AirPods Sound Quality Issue with Teamspeak

When connecting to a Teamspeak server, the sound quality change-over to Scratchy/itchy. Not only on Teamspeak but for the whole sound transmission. Neither You Tube nor iTunes are enjoyable anymore. The difference is tremendous.

Unfortunately, this is a limitation of Bluetooth audio. When you connect your AirPods to your phone, they start in the A2DP profile, which is uni-directional (iPhone to AirPods) high-quality audio, typically compressed with MP3 or AAC. When TeamSpeak requests a microphone session, the AirPods switch to the HSP profile, which offers bi-directional audio, but at telephone quality. It was originally designed for those awful Bluetooth Borg implant things that important businesspeople wore in 2008. There's nothing TeamSpeak can do about this one, because it's how all Bluetooth headphones operate.
