Yes, the TeamSpeak updater is really taking a very long time for the last percent (and sometimes, it is even at 100% already). That should be fixed. I use my own updater which does not have these issues.

We are glad that you could solve it
But we wonder how you could have client 3.1.7 when update did cancel on 99%?

Or did it hang on 99% for a while? That's normal when QT and Visual C++ redist needs to be updated from an older version.

You could leave a like on https://facebook.com/teamspeak/ if you have a strong urge to like something

There is another beta incoming today. You hopefully can run the update completely.

So you both, dante and Chris, announced a new version today in the announcement thread. Are you referring to the same version or did you release the new clients within a few minutes?

    Back to original topic:
When it appeared to hang on my computer, it said that it was installing Russian language. Does the updater say when it is installing the runtime package? But isn't Qt a normal port of the client like the other files?

We only released one version today. I'm not sure yet what happened

Our updater doesn't say the exact moment when Qt files are updating background or vcredist installer is running. It can start already while the updater goes on to download or patch other things. This is why user often will see 99% or that another file is the last entry in the log.

(I'm not sure if following will answer your last question)
Yes QT files are normal files and often we replace the full file. But we also patch some of them instead of downloading the full file again.

Updater discussion was moved out of this thread. Nothing is related for this release.
