    Require always the latest version

    Hi!

Since the 3.1.0 the server communicate permanently with the accounting system. So can you add an option on the instance to always requiring the latest client update without having to update manually the client_min_* permissions?

The latest clients versions can be communicated through this API each time the accounting is requested and the server will update itself all virtualserver.

    Thank you !

That's something we also have in our idea pool.
This would also make it easy to set this per server without having access to the ServerQuery and admin do not need to update the min client versions.

    There is one negative aspect.
Some users who would like to join such server, but can't update where they are at this moment will not join your server.

What advantage does an admin get from restricting clients to a certain version?

    Here's a tip: There's none!

One example advantage where today released client is a good one:
User with old clients can not longer abuse bugs OR clients where bugs like users had more than 3 badges won't bother anyone.

I do not consider that as an advantage for the admin, just for the individual user.

Would agree but admins are also users and these users who have to take care when other users starts to complain about such abuse.

So why wasting time for everyone who complains and the ones who abuse fixed bugs, when one setting can avoid both.

I always enforce the lastest update when the changelog contains security fixes, and there is no valuable reason to not do it.
