Can't unpack ts3 server datas on debian 7 server

    Hey guys,
I'm new here and to the hosting scene aswell. (pls don't blame me)
I'm trying to setup on my VPS a ts3 server but this error message pops up as I try to run this command:
    tar -zxvf teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64-3.0.13.8.tar.bz2.1

    Message log:
gzip: stdin: not in gzip format
    tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

Could someone help me with my issue?

    Thanks a lot

Look into the man page of tar and find the correct switch to handle *.bz2 compressed files.

Or just use tar -xf without specifying the format and it'll usually find the right one automatically.
