My TeamSpeak account Recovery Key is invalid

What i mean with destroyed is that your synced data can not be encrypted.
The key generated while account could not be encrypted did overwrite old data on your account with the data the client could not encrypt.
So the old key became invalid from the new key and the new key only contains cryptic account information.

Fallback only removes synced data. Have you tried that before our conversation today?
I can try if you want. But there is no way back then for your synced data.

Do you still have a backup of your servers and identity?

We did re read the whole conversation and the following made us suspicious.

How could you do that while your account could not be encrypted?
That dialog should not be available till your could login without any errors.
Your account is destroyed in case you really could access that dialog and request a new key.
Old and new recovery would be worthless for this case.

Only fallback would help in that case. But fallback will whipe all your synced data.

Yeah I tried that the first day, when nothing happened with my recovery key, before i submitted a support thingy here in the forum.

Backup, do I need to do that manually?
Or is it like, you know saved on my pc/in the teamspeak client on my computer?
If I have to do it manually, then no I don't have a backup.
But if it's saved by default. Then I have it.

If the backup should already exist, the go ahead and try the fallback on your side. If from what i wrote just now, you think I don't have a backup. then please instruct me into doing one. And then after that try the fallback. Because as I said, nothing really seems to be working with these things on my side.

On each bookmark or identity you can do a right-click and choose move to local.
(on identities you can also do a right-click and export one or multiple)

Please contact me when you have made your backup. Then i will try fallback on your account.

Thank you for your data! We found the reason why you get blocked from myTeamSpeak.
This explains why the recovery key could not be used.

We could not test your recovery key yet. I will report back later that the day.

We plan to release a pc client beta today fixing that issue.

But all of your recovery keys are invalid for this account :/

I have now done backup on both my identity and the bookmark. So you can now try the fallback. Thank you so much for your help with all this.

I have another question though. will I be able to get a new recovery key after the fallback? Or will i have to do fallback everytime after this?

Hello all, so today i was setting up TS on my new computer and it wasn't synching to my account. I didn't remember my password because it had been forever since i had to log in so i reset it and got my recovery passcode. when i used it it reset my password and then the synching issue began so i used my recovery key that kept coming up as invalid. then my last resort was to use the fall back because i was doing it on my main computer with what i thought had all the data backed up but when i did the fallback it deleted EVERYTHING. Is there a way to back step the process and recover my identies, bookmarks and permissions on my channels and have them synch. this is really bumming me out. thanks guys!

Hello, I got problems with myTeamSpeak and synchronization too.
I got a new phone (android) and wanted to login in, but because I forgot my password I used my PC to reset my password. After the reset I used it to login but I needed a recovery key. So I used my PC again to request a recovery key and tried using it but it didn't work (key invalid). I tried a few things but nothing worked, when I restarted teamspeak on my PC I lost everything. So I found an old thread and found my backups in the installation folder. I renamed the settings.db and got my identities and configurations back. I can login to myTeamSpeak with the new password and can get a new recovery key but nothing is working for my phone.

Update: I saved my IDs local on the PC and after a day my PC wanted the input of a recovery key. The new generated key I tried for my phone earlier was not working on pc either. I did a fallback on PC, my local IDs got synchronized again and I got a new recovery key, phone which was stilled connected to the account got all IDs synchronized either. So it's kind of resolved for me. But the myTeamSpeak account defeats the purpose of easy access with account / e-mail (2 step authentication) to all your data if I always need a recovery key. I tried the account feature to not have to work with 30 character long security keys and nearly lost all data ...

I've tried the recovery code because I get this error repeatedly and it didn't. -->
I got a new recovery code and all my data is lost.
My IDs bookmarks have been deleted.
I had a lot of IDs that I needed.
I need them a lot, please help.
