    Question regarding TSDNS and DynDNS

    Hello,

while conntecting to my server users get a ~2 second delay because of:

    Code:
22.05.2018 15:04:09	TSDNS	Info	SRV DNS resolve unsuccessful, "_ts3._udp.xxx.de" DNS server returned answer with no data
22.05.2018 15:04:11	TSDNS	Info	TSDNS queried unsuccessfully 11.11.1.111:41144
22.05.2018 15:04:11	TSDNS	Info	No TSDNS found
I'm running only one TS-Server, but i would like to remove the delay while connecting.
Also I'm using DynDNS to point my domain to the IP of my server.

How would i configure the tsdns_settings.ini to just point all clients to my single TS3 Server, which has no static IP ?

    Thanks!

EDIT: Nevermind, found it myself. Just rename the tsdns_settings.ini.sample to tsdns_settings.ini, but do not change it.
Also start the tsdnsserver process and make sure the TSDNS port is reachable.

    I'm running only one TS-Server,
One does not use TSDNS when running only one virtual server. One uses SRV.

My domain provider doesn't allow SRV records while using DynDNS. I haven't seen one which does.

There are no dynamic SRV records because SRV records are just pointers to domains (e.g. dynamic DNS) that resolve into the final address. So you create an SRV record and point it to your DynDNS. The SRV record itself is not dynamic because it doesn't even point to an IP.

But if my domain provider doesn't allow it, I am out of luck, right ? Or is there a way to create a "local" SRV record directly on my server?
Anyway my problem is gone with my current solution since TSDNS will just report 404 and the client will move on. Connecting now takes a few miliseconds, compared to 3 seconds with the TSDNS timeout.

TeamSpeak is planning to disable non-SRV TSDNS soon™.

™ = "soon" is a trademark of any software company.

That would be great for me, because then i wouldn't have the TSDNS timout on connecting anymore.
    Anyway, thanks for your help!
