    IPV6 and DNS

    Hello,
I'm having trouble with my server and IPV6 (more specificaly DNS with IPV6).
    What works :
    - Connecting to the server using an IPV4
    - Connecting to the server using a DNS that resolve the IPV4
    - Connecting to the server using an IPV6

    What does NOT work :
    - Connecting to the server using a DNS that resolve the IPV6

This is how my DNS are setup (bind dump):
;; Zone dump from zone version "MrRobot_NG8CMUuh"
    $ORIGIN bl4ckdot.eu.
    @ 3600 IN SOA ns0.online.net. hostmaster.online.net. 20180625071625 10800 3600 604800 3600
    _tsdns._tcp.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN SRV 20 0 41144 bl4ckdot.eu
    _ts3._udp.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN SRV 20 0 9987 bl4ckdot.eu
    _ts3._udp.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN SRV 10 0 9987 6.bl4ckdot.eu
    _tsdns._tcp.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN SRV 10 0 41144 6.bl4ckdot.eu
    6.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN AAAA 2001:41d0:401:3200:0:0:0:1ea1
    bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN A 54.37.65.235
When I try to connect to the server using "6.bl4ckdot.eu" I get :

    Hello bl4ckdot

Use the SRV UDP for that case, i will tell you an example how make it right!

    Example:
add to your zone record A with name tsdns.domain.com with value: 127.0.0.1
add to your zone record AAAA with name tsdns.domain.com with value: ::1
add to your zone reocrd SRV with name: _ts3._udp.domain.com priority: 0 weight: 5 port: 9987 value: tsdns.domain.com

Please check if you add this records correctly here:
    https://www.whatsmydns.net

This is an example for my ATHP hosting:
    record A support: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#A/support.ts3bahu.com
    record AAAA support: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#AAAA/support.ts3bahu.com
    record SRV: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#SRV/_ts3._udp.ts3bahu.com

    Two issues:
    1. You try to connect via 6.bl4ckdot.eu, but SRV TS3 is at bl4ckdot.eu. SRV TS3 is only tested on the given input, while SRV TSDNS is tested on some upper levels.
    2. You set up a SRV TSDNS record but your don't have a working TSDNS server set up. If set (not if working!), SRV TSDNS has priority over A or AAAA.

You might want to use the visual DNS resolver in YaTQA, which shows those errors and can also simulate every TeamSpeak 3 client version ever released.

Thank you very much that worked, and the DNS setup is even simpler this way

    1. Remove four existing SRV records. (_ts3 and _tsdns)
    2. Add the following records:

    _ts3._udp.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN SRV 20 0 9987 ts3.bl4ckdot.eu
    ts3.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN AAAA 2001:41d0:401:3200:0:0:0:1ea1
    ts3.bl4ckdot.eu. 60 IN A 54.37.65.235
