    Maintaining old server version

    Hello together!
Today I received an email about updating my Ts3 server because new twitch stuff.
Thing is, in our community, we don't need the twitch stuff and we also don't need clients with shiny new toys, so my question is: Can I maintain an older version of a server, or will the admins cut the license at some point?

    Greetings,
    Ere

Just update the server and not not own the twitch feature.
    That's all you need.

Using an outdated server is nothing we give support after a new server was released.

Supporting isn't the problem, server is running stable
The question is, will you revoke the license, if I continue using my old version?

    short answer: no.
    long answer:
We won't revoke a license for using an old server, but the ts3client 3.2.0 and up will not be able to connect to a ts3server that is not atleast 3.1.0.
Also, should you use the default license(also know as 'no license') on ts3server 3.1.0 or later, you must update to ts3server 3.3.0. The reason for that is that the default license in those other servers will expire soon.

So, you're not revoking my license but I also won't be able to extend it?
    Basically, yes or no?
Will I be able to continue to provide my 3.0.10.3 server to my community after date x?

So you don't care about security? Even the TS3 server can have security related bugs, which will be fixed in future versions.

That post made my day. Thanks! As server hosting doesn't seem to be for you, you should definitely consider comedy.

Nice, so your server is crash-able on at least 4 ways (as stated in all the update changelogs)

There is a hardcoded "no license" in each TeamSpeak 3.1+ server. The end date is printed on start like normal.

Note that there is only an overlap of under one month for the 3.2.0, whose license only lasted less than 4 months after its release. The 3.3.0 license will last for 1 year. So TeamSpeak will prevent OP and other people who don't care about computer security from hosting a server.
