Thanks for the instructions. I downloaded: teamspeak3-server_linux_amd64-3.9.1.tar.bz2
extracted it in a temporary directory. Copied the contents of that folder and overwrote everything in my:
/home/teamspeak/teamspeak3 directory. When I tried to run it, I get this:

    -bash-4.2$ ./ts3server_startscript.sh status
    Server seems to have died
    -bash-4.2$ ./ts3server_startscript.sh start
ts3server.pid found, but no server running. Possibly your previously started server crashed
Please view the logfile for details.

Looks like the ts server has no permissions for his own files. Also you shouldnīt extract the files in a temporary folder. Just login with the user on which the server runs and extract the .tar.bz2 in the same directory where the unpacked folder is. Also the server needs to be stopped beforehand.

Server was stopped (it won't start right)
user "teamspeak" owns all files in the main /teamspeak folder and sub folders
I extracted the .tar file in the /teamspeak3 folder

It's still not working. I'm still getting the same error. Now what???

Oh shit I did not see that! Isnīt the PID like a process that you can kill in the task manager? If that part is still running because the server crashed you have to manually kill it and then you should be able to start the server again.

I did a reboot and tried again and this happened:

    -bash-4.2$ ./ts3server_startscript.sh start
ts3server.pid found, but no server running. Possibly your previously started server crashed

    rm: remove write-protected regular file ‘ts3server.pid’? y

So I cat'd the log to see what it had to say:

    -bash-4.2$ cat logs/ts3server_2019-09-08__23_29_08.694173_0.log

If I can't get it working then I'll likely wipe the box and do a clean install of Linux and then TS but I'd really like to save myself the work.........lol.......if you can think of anything else I could try, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks

License key expired, what am I supposed to do ?

Hello, so I bought a license 1 year ago, It expired but now I can't manage to set the default Free license of at least 32 slots without reinstalling and losing all my TS data.
Since this one expired and I cant afford a new one this year.
Everytime I restart my server I get this error: Failed loading default license file!
I tried to remove the licenses still no success..

What am I supposed to do when my license expires and I want to use the Free one ?
Will my server keep shutdown and my community without a place to be ?

    Regards,
    shz0r
