Dont automatically subscribe to new channels

    Hello,

I'd like to have the (server-side) option to prevent clients from automatically subscribing to newly created channels. If you create a channel and the client of another user does not have permission to subscribe to it, they hear "insufficient permissions". That is very unfortunate because I'd like temporary channels to be "hidden" but on the other hand users shouldnt be annonyed by teamspeak's notifications.

Fixing the client bug would be more appropriate.

Did you expect a different behavior from client subscribed to all channels?

Do you understand the meaning of "all channels"?

Why do you reply at all?

You are doing it wrong, if people reply like that simply outsmart them and say something like
"okay then add a new option like 'all currently existing channels' so it doesn't interfere with your definition of 'all channels'"

But in the end you are right, the client shouldn't spam you with those notifications on an "all channels" command. He should just ignore channel with to high subscription power.

The current client doesn't do that. There is no error if you automatically subscribe to all channels and some cannot be subscribed due to permissions.
When sending PMs please make sure to include a reference link to the thread in question in the body of your message.

    So problem solved.

@OP do you use the latest client or did something other happened that changed that behavior for you?

Oh it does. If I am on the server and someone else creates a channel that I am not allowed to subscribe, it throws an error:

    I can say something here.

A server setting to change the subscribe behavior for the client will not be added. It stays a client setting and nothing what a server decides.

And yes the client triggers the error when a needed subscribe power was set while channel was created.
But this is the intended behavior.
It's the same situation as when you try to subscribe such channel afterwards.

    Soloution:
The client does change his subscribe setting (Tools -> Options -> Application "channel subscribe behavior").
This way he will not subscribe new channels any longer.

For me, this does not change anything. Somehow, newly created channels are still subscribed to automatically. Am I missing something?

I think I get what this option is supposed to do, but I want the client to subscribe to all channels it is allowed to subscribe to when it connects to the server and DO NOT subscribe automatically to newly created channels thereafter.
