    3.4.0 Server random Crash

    Hello,

    we have updated our server today to 3.4.0 and since the update we got 2 random crashed. There is nothing in the logs written just that a query connected, disconnected and 30 seconds later server crashed.

    I am one of the administrations from the server mentioned in C0kkie's post.

    I was able to find two messages in the file 'messages' under /var/log/ (Those messages are also present in the kern.log file)

    The server crashed once on 6th october 18:10 and then 4 hours later on 22:10

    This log was created after the server crashed the second time:
    (One thing I have to add: The teamspeak log dates are incorrect, they are off by 2 hours. You have to add two hours to every timestamp, so for example 20:10 is 22:10)

    Are you able to send more logs from the working teamspeak server directory? I think it should be the latest log 0 if your server will crash again.

    Or your teamspeak license is invalid, since the new 3.1 server versions teamspeak is trying to block them.

    This is not related to your problem but DAMN your kernel is old. You should update ASAP. There were dozens of CVE within that timespan..

    How do you use the old NPL-license for quite a while? NPL registrations are closed.

    If you mean that you've received your NPL license (older than 2016) shortly and the NPL registrations are closed, this may brings you to the way that it means your NPL is cracked or something like that, and cracked NPL's which are in use will crash the server after 1/2 hours so I was wondering but OK.

    The license is definitely older then 2016, I dont have an exact date. But it got registered properly at the time when NPL registrations were open. Not a cracked license or something like that

    I know that with the 1/2 hour crash, but our server crashes after ~4 hours.

    We are currently running 3.2.0 again because having those random crashes is annoying. At 3.2.0 everything runs fine.

    I also did the kernel update but didn't restart the machine yet, so there still should be the old kernel.

    Please create a core dump and send that dump to us.

    Thank you for your help. The kernel update apparently did the trick, the server is now running 2+ days without any problem.

    Regarding the core dump I've got a short question:
    Would it be sufficient if I run a screen within the teamspeak user, then set ulimit -c unlimited and after that use the ts3server_startscript? Would it generate a core dump?
