Server Nickname. How stable are these?

Hi, how stable and good is to use nicknames instead domain to connect? Like there are no cases when you can't connect with nickname or some unstable thing? Because I thought maybe using only nickname to connect to my ts instead domain name

Server nicknames rely on a custom service invented and provided by TeamSpeak.

Domains rely on a standardized service (DNS) which was designed with stability in mind and which has been around for many years.

When TeamSpeak's server nickname resolver goes down (which has happened a couple of times), server nicknames stop working.

Long story short: You should not rely on server nicknames alone.

Would be curious to know if the client caches previous results for a server nickname and will attempt to use those if the client fails to reach the TeamSpeak server nickname lookup server.
