Yes they are still in server but not completely removed. Only permissions are removed.
So you see them and old Channel still can have them. But you can not select them any longer.

P.s. this has nothing to do with server version 3.8.0.

Server 3.7.0 does not offer them any longer. There are no client codecs and the client has no change so far. And the codecs are not removed yet.

Where you say you see them is a 3rd party application (There is no support from us for this).
When you use the client or ServerQuery interface directly with command permfind permsid= you should not see them.

This last step(s) need a server update where codecs are removed completely and a client update where the codecs are no longer shown in channel create/edit dialog.

Client 3.2.5 is able to connect server 3.8.0.

Today we have an announcement to make.
We decided to delay the release of the TeamSpeak Server 3.8.0 for at least one week.
This delay also counts for the TeamSpeak 3 Client version 3.3.0.

Why are we doing this?
We had several reports (beginning with version 3.7.0) that the server process did hang and no new connections to the server could be made with clients or ServerQuery. And we had a report that the server had more packet loss and more timeouts than the version before 3.7.0.

We did not collect enough feedback yet and want to ensure we solved these problems.

We need your help!
We want to get these issues solved and need feedback before we release v. 3.8.0 as a stable version. The version has more drastic changes and we want to ensure that everything is working and as we expect.

You are unsure to use this beta?
We suggest to make a backup of your server database and when something isn't going right then you can use this backup.

We are here to help you. When something isn't going well report it in the Discussion thread or as a ticket when your are host with a paid license or in a private message when private data you don't want to share are included.

Hi, on version 3.7.1 the only problem I found is that the server can overloaded at the RAM level than on previous versions.

a complete restart of the machine solves the problem

Yes we announced that more RAM and also CPU may be needed for version 3.7.x but the usage shouldn't explode.

We need feedback for version 3.8.0. For older versions we have the feedback already.
