    [Request] Automated hostmessages

    hi

    what i want to do:
manage hostmessages, it is okay to show it inside log-window.
    - release notes of games
    - free games to claim
    - different technical provider-issues
    [...]

    - based on a start and end-datetime, when messages should be showed.

is there a configfile or an api to set a hostmessage by a job?

You can set them through the server query interface, using the serveredit command.

depends on which one you want to change yes. You can get a list of them using serverinfo command. Quite a few are read only, others can be changed.
    Code:
    serveredit virtualserver_welcomemessage=Welcome\sto\sthis\sserver
would set the welcome message to "Welcome to this server" Note that spaces and other special characters need to be escaped as described in the server query documentation.

Note that the timing will have to be done by your application / script / whatever. The server does not support a time limit on these. They're set and remain valid forever (unless changed again of course).
