Hello everyone,
this is my feedback to TS5 in it's current state.
I know it's a beta, but I think there's still much to say.
Keep in mind this is only my opinion, you can disagree with me.
Also employees of TeamSpeak please respond to my points individually.
A: why should they?
So first of all let's start with the awful voice quality.
One of the main reasons why I don't use TS5 right now is because the voice quality is really bad.
Some friends of mine tell me I sound like I'm underwater.
A: check your own system or provide log files because on my side for example it works outstanding
Second point, binding everything to myTeamSpeak.
I don't know if this will change as soon as TS5 will be released to everyone.
So far we are not even able to export our identities to use them in TS3.
A: myteamspeak syncs it between 3 and 5. Normally you should sync your TS3 identity to myteamspeak so that TS5 will get it. If you can´t do that well not Teamspeaks problem
Third point, lack of transparency.
How exactly does the End-2-End encryption in direct messages work?
It only says "Chat is secured with end-to-end encryption", but to be honest, you should at least say how it's encrypted.
Good example is Riot. Bad example is Discord.
(Contacted Discord support once, they told me because of security reasons they are not allowed to tell me.)
Don't be like Discord.
A: It is a closed beta..beta means testing so how about backing off a little...everything will come just not with the speeed that you want...get over it.
Fourth point, extreme lack of features.
Apart from the attempt of TeamSpeak trying to look more modern, I'd love to use other designs.
We can't see our latency, packet losses or other details.
It seems like server chats are completely gone.
And we can't do anything administrative on our own servers except for giving others groups or kick/ban them.
As far as I know the product development is in Germany.. so why is there no German language?
A: They will change the complete rights system and that needs time, so again it´s coming! back off and wait!
Fifth point, communication between TeamSpeak and it's users.
Probably the worst thing a developer of a communication software can do. Not communicate with it's users.
I think we've all waited extremely long for the TS5 beta. But on top of that it's a closed one.
I've seen that some TS5 beta codes got sold for over $100 on other forums.
I don't think that the closed beta is helping you in any way.
When more users test a beta, they find bugs faster.
And not everyone who is using TS5 right now is giving feedback.
So more users would also give more feedback.
Best way would've been to give everyone who registered for the beta before the beta release access to the beta.
A:you don´t know any numbers at all...right now more than 5000 are using the beta, should be enough for feedback don´t you think??
I think that TS5 is unusable in it's current state.
A: it is usable because it is a beta...nobody told you to replace the stable TS3 with the starting TS5 beta completly...come on bro don´t act stupid...
I will post another feedback thread as soon as TS5 is usable again.
