Security level is the level of your identity, it's a TS3 feature too.

Well I tried to raise the maximum security level to 30 just to see what it does. It made my CPU and GPU to do things? I don't know, CPU temps went up right after I clicked "start" and fans ramped up as well.. Any idea what it does in the background?
EDIT: And it's still going.
Dubbel-edit: It seems that it uses CPU to improve your security level, how interesting!
So now I can use teamspeak not only as an VOIP service but to test my CPU stability as well.![]()

It takes longer for each level increase so it'll take a very long time to get 35+.
It wont, it's just used by server owners to set a minimum level required to connect as it can prevent people bypassing bans by forcing them to take longer to generate a higher level to connect.
I'm glad to see they added this to TS5 already as it would cause problems for people attempting to connect if their ID didn't meet the requirements.
I was one of the first to register for beta and so far no key, disappointing. Unfortunately it looks like I've been using teamspeak for at least 15 years! Thank you temspeak
