    Connection to secound ts vserver doesn't work

    Hi there,

    I have a NPL license and 2 TS3 vservers wich run on the same Host. But if I entered ts.mydomain.net or ts.mydomain.net:9988 it always connect me to 1.2.3.4:9987, which is is vserver 1. ts.mydomain.net:9988 should connect me to my vserver 2
    Both vservers are running.

    TSDNS looks like this:
    ts.mydomain.net=1.2.3.4:9987
    ts.mydomain.net:9988=1.2.3.4:9988

    [1.2.3.4 is just my IP anonymoused | mydomain.net is just my Domain anonymoused]

    My anonymoused client protocol:
    13.10.2019 17:42:12 ClientUI Info Connect to server: ts.mydomain.net

    13.10.2019 17:42:13 ClientUI Info Resolve successful: 1.2.3.4:9987
    13.10.2019 17:42:13 ClientUI Info Initiating connection: 1.2.3.4:9987

    Does anyone have an idea why this happends? If you need any further information just ask!

    Greetings

    While we usually can't help with anonymized DNS questions, this one is pretty clear: TSDNS overrides the port (SRV would too). I don't know why on earth you are using TSDNS anyway. Easiest solution: Exit TSDNS. If you insist on using it, change the port it provides from 9987 to $PORT. I also believe that you are receiving a warning message on every connect because your TSDNS does not seem to be SRV TSDNS, which is the only non-deprecated form of TSDNS.

    As numma_cway mentions, for how it sounds you want the connection to work I think you tsdns_settings.ini should be just

    Code:
    ts.mydomain.net=1.2.3.4:$PORT
    Really you could use this:

    Code:
    ts1.mydomain.net=1.2.3.4:9987
    ts2.mydomain.net=1.2.3.4:9988
    Note the first part of the url is different and the user never needs to know the port. If you really wanted you could do SRV records for each server and drop the TSDNS all together running the service and linking it in your SRV records.

    @numma_cway, am I wrong to think that because it appears he has the TSDNS linked via a SRV record he should not be getting the error you mentioned?

    There is no report that SRV TSDNS succeeded in his log, that's why I guessed it was raw TSDNS.
