I've searched, and found it mentioned in the whishlist, but i can't find any informations about implementing or not.
So after the last months with Oracle as the new developer of MySQL, in my oppinion, it will be a good idea to support more databases as now. So will it be possible in the near future to use PostgreSQL with teamspeak3 ??
Currently it is not possible with our versions.
Maybe this will be implemented after the final 3.0 release.

Out of curiosity is this still on your development list? Any way to do this via an SDK?

The most common database systems are supported and there are currently no plans to support additional databases.

Only 1 - MySQL.
SQLite is rather a library for use in DBMS or applications.
As for "the most common" there is PostgreSQL as well as MS SQL Server and Oracle.

What about a generic driver like JDBC/ODBC? Otherwise adding MSSQL and PostgreSQL would be two other common databases. According to http://db-engines.com/en/ranking you have Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL and PostgreSQL in the top 4.

On the bright side you can use mariadb if your goal is to shed oracle dependency. I have this running under debian successfully.Originally Posted by martinisoft

I am asking referring to this post
The server you can create in TS5 client uses that database type already. The client would not be able to connect without that update.
We may add this into the regular server too but that's no promise.
