it could be that we delay the server for 2-5 days. just to make sure its tested under heavy conditions also. but thats not sure yet... so dont panic!

Thanks for the reply, any away, the TS3 Beta version will be Open for all or you will make a selection of a few "Beta Users" for the preview release? Server & Client

    Thanks in advance!

I am very happy to hear of this. TS3 in AA3 works quite well and makes the game both more fun and easier to play. To have this capability in other games will be awesome.

Someone in this topic reminds me of the old days...ack?

As for the dev's...Good work guys and I am glad you will soon show the world how much you accomplished. I look forward to seeing what the guys will do with your SDK when it comes out.

I must say though 5 years of comments like those I have seen I would have scrapped the project and killed the site and left everyone SOL. When you put a long time and a lot of hard work into something it messes with your head to have such things hurled at you. There is constructive criticism and there is harmful criticism. Be careful which side of that line your comments reside. This software public or not is free after all.

Since server release isn't part of the date listed, would it be safe to assume the ts3 beta will be backwards compatible with ts2 server?

No, the ts3 server and client are not backwards compatible.

I wonder if there will be a Global Moderator like permission. So we don't have to give SA and limit the permissions for ones we want them to moderate our servers. I always have to disable/enable CreateChannelRegistered for SA for myself to create a registered channel for some gamers.

With Global Moderator like permission. I will just have to give them "GM" like (R GM). And I can have SA myself so I can register the channel for ones who want a registered channel.

Why do we need? Because I'm running my TS Server for Counter-Strike community which always has 150-400 concurrent connections there. And I just need Global Moderator like permission for ones I trusted. So they can kick any abuser or someone who is being something that is probihited.

U can make ur own permission groups in TS3. There are hundreds of rights u can give or revoke them. Server-, channel- and client-specific.

Can you use SSPI or LDAP for it?
