Move TS2 DB to TS3 DB

    My question is very simpel.

Is it gonna be possibul for me, to insert my DB from TS2, with all my usernames and password to TS3 DB, or do we have to write them in manually.?

And I'm only talking about the Username and passwords, nothing else.

    Cheers

You don't have usernames and passwords in TS3. Each client has his own unique identity which is stored in the server database the first time he's connecting.

To provide users with extra permissions, you can either use their unique identity (if known) or let the create a token key which can be used by the client to get access to a specified server or channel group.

The set of convertable stuff is limited to simple server or channel information (i.e. name, welcome message, max users).

How do you make it with TS2? Are the servers and logins saved in the internetcafe too?

With TS3, you have atm two options:
    1. Export your identity and import it each time.
    2. Set a Master-Password, so only you can use your identity.

An user manager for the master-password could be a feature request for TS3.x .

Hmm... the easiest way would be a portable Teamspeak.
Will it be possible to run TS3 without an installation - f.e. from an USB-Stick?
The only prob I see are eventualy missing Codecs, maybe it would be a gr8 idea to make an installation-routine just for the Codecs. Then I could take my TS3 on the USB-Stick always with me and don't have to worry about my Key or something.

The TS3 client does not need to be installed like TS2 so you could simply copy the files to an USB stick and take it with you.

What about the Codecs, is there no need install them too?
