    Voice heavily distorted when using Teamspeak - captured at 50% speed

    Heyho, I'm having a problem using the latest Version of TS on my Macbook Pro (mid 2009). I'm running it in Windows XP SP 3, and my setup works just fine in Skype and Audio Recorder, so the problem probably lies with TS.

    What's happening is that whenever I talk, my Voice is captured at 50% speed, meaning there is considerable lag and my Voice is distorted as hell. I have a sample for you right here: Download from megaupload.com

    Tried all kinds of settings but nothing would work, so here I am asking for your help.

    Some Addition from me Iam using TeamSpeak3-Client-win32-3.0.0-beta36 and it is OK.
    I have experienced that in MacOS the Client had the Problem with the plugin too, this was the bug with the fast speech. That nobody can understand you because you are faster than mickey mouse.

    After a time i posted here the bug was OK, sry for the post in an old thread.

    I hope this helps a little bit.

    What server/client version is being used? What codec and quality are being used in your channel?

    The information of the server should be fairly irrelevant, since I'm experiencing the problem even when I'm not logged in to a server and testing my capturing options. My Client version is 3.0.0-rc2 [Build: 14642], QT Version (whatever that is): 4.7.2

    Have you tried changing the capture mode to something else? ( settings -> options -> capture (it's a tab))

    I assume the capture device is also selected correctly.

    yep, tried each and every option in the capturing preferences, and the capture device is set correctly (though I also tried changing that just for the hell of it, not that it got any results). And as I said, the device itself works like a charm in Skype.

    Ts 3.0.0 rc2 slow motion voice

    I have windows xp on macbook pro, with bootcamp. With previous version of the client there was no problem, but after update my voice (even in testing) is slowed down. I can clearly listen to people speaking to me, but they can't understand me because of the voice uotput. I have cirrus logic audio driver, up to date

    Any ideas? if only there's a way to download previous versions....

    The old report was, the user had this slow motion with RC1 client and Rc2 fixed that. Hmm

    I'm having the exact same problems on my iMac while using Windows via boot camp. First time using Teamspeak. Using Teamspeak 3.0.0 rc2.

    My best guess is that the direct sound driver is lying about its capture speed. We request 44.1Khz and it reports back that it opened a 44.1 khz stream. But it seems like its actually a 22.05khz stream (the default DS speed).
    If i read this forum correctly there are bootcamp users who do *NOT* have this problem? (if every bootcamp user had this problem, i could make an easy workaround)

    I don't know about Bootcamp users not experiencing the problem, but if the workaround is that easy, why don't you just do it and offer it to everyone experiencing the problem? I mean, I understand why you wouldn't want a workaround in an official release that would potentially cause problems for other bootcamp users, but why not give users experiencing the problem an alternative build for the time being? That way we can at least confirm whether or not it fixes the bug, on top of having a working version until you can properly resolve the bug in a future release.

    Well, easy is a relative term. I am working on something now, but the biggest hurdle i have to overcome is to detect if ts3 is running inside bootcamp. I will make it so that when it detects this, it will automatically request 22.05Khz. I hope this will solve your problems. Stay tuned.
