    Post FreeBSD server..

    Hello!

Ok, I just want to say that I need a TS3 server for FreeBSD.. How do I solve that? FreeBSD is a good and stable server software/platform..

as soon the server is in an "stable" state, i think we can work on supporting an new platform.

    Unhappy

Yeah, on FreeBSD TS3 should use kqueue instead of epoll, so we realy have to wait for a FreeBSD version.

Remember how long TS2 Client (and server too?) was beta, that was
    over years.

i was hoping that the epoll thing in the Linux Server get fixed, TS must
only support one Version normaly then (same as in the past with TS2).

But never read only one word about that here.

    regards,
    erwo

Really disappointing to find out that the TS3 server no longer runs on FreeBSD. Just upgraded our server so we could host TS3 there for our guild rather than the temporary ubuntu server installation on my old laptop sitting in my closet.

Would be nice to see an ETA on a FreeBSD version. Why wait with compiling it for FreeBSD, more users and more platforms will lead to people helping you find more bugs after all.

As a temporary workaround, maybe it would be possible to make a Linux build without epoll enabled. Most applications can usually be compiled without it by just a flag to ./configure or something. Obviously don't know how TS3 is compiled though.

Thanks for a otherwise very nice application. Not sure why its not out of beta already to be honest.

Unfortunately, yes. I find it very, very good that the TS developer team is so thoroughgoing and releases its stuff when its stable.

BUT... still i would love to see a pre-alpha or whatever for freebsd or get at least *some* information about a timeplan. I am very patient related to waiting - but i dont want to end up waiting forever (read: years).
I definitely dont want to switch over to linux (or windows) on the servers... and TS3 is for me way better than the other solutions

Really a bad situation. Devs, please help me / us out if possible :-)

    Hi,

i think ist to late, now realy the most players used TS2 knows of TS3 and
    use it.

There was only the chance to switch to linux, communitys i think you cant
get back... Too many ppl now have private Servers TS3...

    regards,
    erwo
