    *BSD Support

    Hello,

a long time ago I read in your blog that FreeBSD is going to be supported (at least the server). Is this still the case, because the newer blog entries do not list FreeBSD at all. I wonder wether it works with the linux-base packages (x64 or only x86?) and if some of the alpha testers already tried it out.

    FreeBSD Server

    Hello,

in the doku i read TS3 will become an FreeBSD Port later.

Is the Linux-Binary running with FreeBSD Linux binary emulation?

In the Forum search i cant find anything about this.

    best regards,

I am assuming the linux release will be involved in the open beta? If so then you should be able to run that on BSD..

Yes, the linux build is involved.

Both the TeamSpeak 3 Client and Server will be available for download and testing on the following platforms:
    • Windows (32bit and 64bit)
    • Mac OS X (Intel and PPC)
    • Linux (32bit and 64bit)

    Question FreeBSD Version?

Hallo zusammen, wann kommt denn die erste Beta der FreeBSD Version?

Oder gibt es den Sourcecode für das Projekt damit man es selbst für FreeBSD
    kompilieren kann?

Though, I do not speak German.. (I think this is what you're asking).

The FAQ says the freebsd version of the server will come later on in the Beta..

Yes, that seems, the linux binary does NOT run on FreeBSD!!

FreeBSD supports only TS2 and vent/mumble.

Small /bump because I eagerly await the FreeBSD version ;-)

A rough ETA, something like "just a few more days," or "more like months" would be highly helpful in planning.

We currently run the beta server on a temporary linux box, which isn't really a good solution.

Other than that, so far everybody here really loves ts3; awesome job, thank you!

    Hi foobar,

you tried the linux binary on FreeBSD??

I think it should normaly work, but it exits with an error.

Can you also try the Linux compatibility Mode on your
FreeBSD Box? The Error normaly seems to show an
    permission Problem.

    best regards,
    erwo

After installing the license.dat file in my teamspeak folder on my server (FreeBSD 7.2 w/ linux-base-fc4 installed), I am getting this when I try to run my server.

    Code:
    %./ts3server_linux_x86

There's no easy way to get epoll functionality under BSD. If you can find a beta build from before epoll was required you might be able to get that working. Until then, we'll just have to wait for a BSD release.
