    mySQL option dont work ?

    Hi iam running ts3 server 64 bit, but can't get mysql to work

    I have created a file named: ts3db_mysql.ini with info:

    Code:
    [config]
    host=192.168.10.100
    port=3306
    username=******
    password=******
    database=teamspeak3
    socket=mysql
    And I have created a file: ts3server.ini with info:

    Code:
    machine_id=
    default_voice_port=9987
    voice_ip=0.0.0.0
    licensepath=
    filetransfer_port=30033
    filetransfer_ip=0.0.0.0
    query_port=10011
    query_ip=0.0.0.0
    dbplugin=ts3db_mysql
    dbpluginparameter=ts3db_mysql.ini
    dbsqlpath=sql/
    dbsqlcreatepath=create_mysql/
    logpath=logs
    logquerycommands=1
    Then I try to start it with command line: ts3server_win64 inifile=ts3server.ini

    I get this error:

    Code:
    2009-12-19 16:55:13.073125|INFO    |ServerLibPriv |   | Server Version: 3.0.0-beta1 [Build: 9366]
    2009-12-19 16:55:13.073125|INFO    |DatabaseQuery |   | dbPlugin name:    MySQL plugin, (c)TeamSpeak Systems GmbH
    2009-12-19 16:55:13.073125|INFO    |DatabaseQuery |   | dbPlugin version: 1
    2009-12-19 16:55:13.088750|ERROR   |DatabaseQuery |   | mysql_real_connect() failed with error: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)
    2009-12-19 16:55:13.088750|CRITICAL|ServerLibPriv |   | Server() DatabaseError
    Seems to use the root user, although I have entered the user and password, can any one help me with this problem?

    Kind regards
    Jonathan

    Yeah it tells us to use dbpluginparameter (<empty>) but I dunno wtf to do with this. Want to use mysql as well and cant figure this crap out. The only thing its not registering is the pw in my file. I keep thinking its defaulting to the dll file for default mysql database connections which is retarded.

    As standard it runs with sqllite, and you dont have to do anytinng, if you have the serveradmin pass etc.

    My question was about mySQL database settings

    I gave up on MySQL and decided just to run with standard SQL Lite.

    It's only in BETA stage it's not essential for me but would have been nice.

    I just wanted to get TS3 up and running but have now hit permission issues.

    Documentation on database parameters etc are sketchy.

    That would indicate things are working how they should be...

    What set up you got?

    I'm having the same issue with not being able to get MySql working with it. It's like it ignores ts3db_mysql.ini (tried dbpluginparameter=ts3db_mysql.ini, no luck)

    Windows XP Pro
    Windows 32 Server version
    MySql Database running on the same machine (localhost)

    If there's someone out there who has it working on MySql, can you share your working command string please?

    Code:
    [config]
    host=192.168.10.100 <--This is an error
    port=3306
    username=******
    password=******
    database=teamspeak3
    socket=mysql
    The error I found above this message refer to an other computer.
    If your Mysql database is on the same computer as Teamspeak3 server it shoul be like the next code below
    Code:
    [config]
    host=localhost
    port=3306
    username=******
    password=******
    database=teamspeak3
    socket=mysql

    Not necessarily, it could have been his internal network IP.

    It should work although you are correct it is advisable to use localhost.

    It shouldn't make a damn difference because your OS should be configured to interpret 127.0.0.1 as localhost and vice versa, but try 127.0.0.1

    Here is what appears to be happening...

    The Server reads the mysql db ini file, but it ignores settings and attempts to connect using root with no password at localhost.
