    MySQL Support [email protected] Issue

    Edit by mod
    Please don't use this outdated script anymore! The script got an overhaul long time ago.
    Please use the minimal or startscript instead

    Hi Guys,

    I hope this is not a code issue, maybe my understanding of the documentation is pants or a bug exists:

    First of all, version - I am using CentOS release 5.2 (Final) (64 Bit), MySQL is 5.0.45.

    I am starting the server with the following command line : ./ts3server_linux_amd64 dbpluginparameter=ts3db_mysql.ini inifile=ts3server.ini

    My ts3db_mysql.ini file looks like this:

    Code:
    [config]
    host=localhost
    port=3306
    username=myusername
    password=mypass
    database=ts3db
    socket=
    My ts3server.ini it looks likea dis:

    Code:
    machine_id=
    default_voice_port=9987
    voice_ip=0.0.0.0
    licensepath=
    filetransfer_port=30033
    filetransfer_ip=0.0.0.0
    query_port=10011
    query_ip=0.0.0.0
    logpath=logs
    logquerycommands=0
    dbpluginparameter=ts3db_mysql.ini
    dbplugin=ts3db_mysql
    dbsqlpath=sql/
    dbsqlcreatepath=create_mysql/
    The result is a mysql connection error but interestingly it states that it for [email protected], and I cannot proceed, so the program is obvious, either by fault of my own or itself not loading the variables for mysql from my input.

    Thanks

    Try to use the follwing

    ts3db_mysql.ini
    Code:
    [config]
    host=localhost
    port=3306
    username=xxx
    password=yyyy
    database=ts3db
    socket=
    importand, add a "blank (new) line" below "socket=", without it doesnt work for me ^^

    ts3server.ini
    Code:
    machine_id=
    default_voice_port=9987
    voice_ip=0.0.0.0
    licensepath=
    filetransfer_port=30033
    filetransfer_ip=0.0.0.0
    query_port=10011
    query_ip=0.0.0.0
    dbplugin=ts3db_mysql
    dbpluginparameter=/path/to/ini/ts3db_mysql.ini
    dbsqlpath=sql/
    dbsqlcreatepath=create_mysql/
    logpath=logs
    logquerycommands=0
    set the right path to your "ts3db_mysql.ini"

    start it with
    ts3server_linux_amd64 inifile=ts3server.ini

    Is that the correct path to you MySQL socket? Is your MySQL server using the socket?

    Maybe you should make a seperate thread for your problem, because it differs from the problem mentioned in this thread. You should also provide some more information.
