    Run As Service

Does anyone have instructions on how to make TS3 Run as a Service?

Referencing my last post, and someone elses post.

This is pretty straightforward. I can't validate the safety of this. So tread carefully.

Does anyone know what dependancies the service would require? Couldn't we just create a service with SC?

    Hi,
I am successfully running the TS3 server as a system service on windows server 2008 using www.firedaemon.com . Took 2 minutes to set it up.
    Hope this helps!

I used the default instructions for srvany on my Windows 2003 Server and it would not run correctly until I added the optional parameter in the registry. The service would start but the TS server was unreachable.

The optional parameter is the AppDirectory entry added under the "Parameters" key. Read the servany.wri that came with the application for more specifics.

Basically it needs to know what directory you are running the application from so it can write to the log file. This 'might' also be resolved by placing the directory for TS3 in the path statemet for Windows.

    Hope this helps!
