Friend's rights gone after pc restart

    Hey,

I just need help with my new TeamSpeak 3 Server.
I do have a TeamSpeak 3 Server from a german hosting provider called Gamed!.
Everything is working perfectly fine but my friends do have problems with the right system on TeamSpeak 3.
I did create a new server group called 'Admins' and used as template the server admin settings (modified certain settings though so they don't have every right on the server).
They got the rights and are admins when they are on the server but when they restart their computers they lose their rights on the server and are just guests.

Can someone please help me out?
Thanks in advance and I hope you understand my english.

Make sure the group has b_group_is_permanent permission set and active.
Check to see if they're still listed as members of the group in Permissions -> Server groups. If they are then they lost their identity or connected with a different one, in which case they should fix their PC / Client installation.

Solution not working as of "Server Release 3.0.11.4 24 august 2015"

There is no permission like "Permission on Group is permanent" under the current 64-bit Windows server version. This seems to be what mlkjhqsdfg was also saying back in 2009.

I think this is why I am unable to configure an Invite-only server as described here:
    https://support.teamspeakusa.com/ind...peak-3-servers

Any further insight into this problem?

Yeah, it does work, but the description is a little confusing....

The permission "Group -> b_group_is_permanent" must be added to make user associations persistent beyond the current session. This is on by default for the Normal group and off by default for the Guest group. So this issue will crop up when you create a new group by copying the guest group.

I also found the attribute name misleading... I was looking for "Permission on Group is Permanent" which seems more accurate.

    Anywho... Thanks for the info.

Now the "Invite-Only" server set-up is working as described.

Your group(s) must be permanent to save users in it.
    Set b_group_is_permanent into your group.

You may check your logs, maybe someone has removed b_group_is_permanent or these groups have ben set as default server group.

This is how you set a new password for the Query account serveradmin

You can now add b_group_is_permanent back to groups or you generate a new key for the Server Admin and add it back on your own.

    That's not a bug.
You did not set permission b_group_is_permanent in target group.
This makes the group temporary for one session per client.

I lose server admin each time i login

    Hello,

I believe i did something wrong, last i night i was fiddeling around in the virutal server and ended up making some changes in misc and within the server groups it self.

What happens now is when i disconnect and reconnect i lose my server admin, i have to use tokens to get it back but when i disconnect again the server admin is always gone again. When i give server admin to one of my friends online and he tries to reconnect he loses the server admin aswel. In other words, something is not quite alright!

Can somebody help me with this issue? It would be a big help!

    Thanks alot in advance!

Someone removed/deactivated permission b_group_is_permanent from the Channel Admin group.
