Channel needed join permission is higher than user but he still joins

    Hey guys,
i recently set up my first teamspeak - including the permissions.
I actually spend alot of time trying to understand whats going on - and i think i had some success.

But i still encountered the following problem.
The usergroup 1 has channel join permission of 10, usergroup 2 has one of 20.
Then there is a channel, which has needed join permission of 50.
Both groups are still able to join the channel.
Im struggling to find the reason for 2 days now.
What i can exclude by now:
    - There are Client specific rights assigned which could cause this
    - There are no Channelgroups which includes join permission

Do you guys have any idea, im really clueless right now.
    Thanks in advance!

Please open a permissions overview of such client (right-click on user), when he is in the channel.
I think this user group has SKIP enabled to ignore channel permissions.

Skip as a flag ignores just this permission from a channel group or from a channel.

Oh, i misunderstood how the skip flag works.
Removing it from all but the higehst tier group solved the problem.
    Thank You!

Remove b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions from that server group.

User can join channel even when join power is to low

I've confirmed that the issue exists of people with insufficient permissions joining channels that have a permission requirement for joining that's higher than that of the people who have insufficient permissions. How do I resolve this issue, and an explanation about why it's caused would also be appreciated because I'm totally without knowledge of the cause of this issue.

You gave your group a join and a needed join power of 50.
Means they can join everywhere. This is behavior is correct.

But the needed join power doesn't belong into groups. remove it from the group.

    May i add something?
Channel group is Tier 4 and channel is Tier 3, hence the higher Tier permissions have higher priority when calculating the effective permission.

Your override the needed_join_power that you've set on the channel with the one from the channel group. Effectively, for everyone that has that channel group, the channel has a needed_join_power of 50, where the group itself has also 50 join power. 50 >= 50 is true, thus they can join.

You missed to add a full permissions over vie for this Admin.

Please read Post 35 for detailed how to.
How? Doesnt it determine the power needed to join the channel? (screenshot 2) Admin has join power of 65 and channel has needed 75 and he still can join? What am i doing wrong ;/?

Sorry thought this is about editing the channel permissions because your Admin has Grant set and could adjust own permissions.

Please show us a full permissions overview (Do right click on that user -> Permissions) when such admin is in root channel.
I can't tell from your pictures why Admins can join this shown channel.

Server Admin group has permission b_client_skip_channelgroup_permissions set and will ignore channel set permissions per default.
    See post #2 for details.

Using ServerQuery permissions/group for clients is not supported here!
