overwrite old files ;-)
- Stopp running TSł Server
- Upload the files of the NEW TSł Server version
- Overwrite the old files
- Start the server
- The Settings of the old server ( Channels, Userinformation and other stuff ) will not be overwrited!
thats it. Just overwrite the files. Its not like windows where it dumps varriables in a registry like Windows.
The file "ts3server_linux_x86" (or the 64bit version if you got it) is the actual binary (Like the .exe you would see in Windows).
The files you always want to back up before overwriting are...
- ts3server.sqlitedb : This is your database. Any settings, users, permissions are stored here. UNLESS you are using MySQL
- ts3server.ini : Or you may have called it something else. This saves your command line paramaters (like port, IP, and such).
