I have tried everything listed here, except for uninstalling and then reinstalling, and I still get the "failed to remove existing local copy" message. Someone plz help.


Ok....... So my avatar shows up in the forums but not in TS.

you checked your temp folder and your cleared your cache?
Did you set the avatar form a local file or from a website? Please tell me the URL, you uhave used.

well,
I formatted my pc and put windows ultimate 64 bit, and installed TeamSpeak 3 with its updated version but then I change my avatar and the following error appeared.

Hi.

From update 3.1 and after adding myTeamSpeak account, I'm not able to set my avatar.

It displays this message in log:

Warning Failed to remove temp avatar copy

Have you tried to clean the client cache (Tools -> Options -> Security -> "Clear Cache" Button -> "Clear cache" enbaled) while you are not connected to any server?

Hallo sehr geehrte User und Admins,

ich habe das oben genannte Problem schon seit geraumer Zeit und weiß einfach nicht mehr weiter.
Immer wenn ich einen Avatar im TS setzen möchte, bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung im Client Protokoll angezeigt:

" ClientUI Warning Failed to remove temp avatar copy"

Ich habe den Fehler bisher schon gegoogled und auch was dazu gefunden, was anderen Leuten geholfen hat, nämlich die temporäre Datei einfach per Hand zu löschen, bzw. einfach den gesamten TS-Cache zu löschen und/oder den TS-Client einfach als Administrator zu starten, jedoch hat mir das nur einmalig geholfen und seitdem kann ich meinen Avatar einfach gar nicht mehr ändern.

Eine Neuinstallation von TS hat im übrigen auch nicht geholfen.

Ich hoffe ihr habt noch andere Vorschläge.

Hast du das nur auf einen Server? Falls ja, kann der Server die Datei bei sich nicht löschen oder schreiben. In dem Fall kann nur der Admin/Host des Servers das beheben.

Nein, ich habe das leider auf jedem server

Das hört sih so an als wäre due Datei defekt oder schon geklöscht oder dein User hat keine rechte im Temp verzeichnis zu schreiben.

Schon mal probiert den Cache (Extras -> Optionen -> Sicherheit) vom Client zu löschen?
Oder hast du mal einen anderen Avatar probiert?

Ja und ja ^-^" den cashe habe ich schon des öfteren geleert und einen anderen Avatar auszuwählen war das erste, was ich ausprobiert habe. Leider hilft das alles nicht

since several Weeks i have the problem that i cant change my avatar.
It happens on every server i'm at.

I get this error every time "28.12.2019 12:28:00 ClientUI Warning Failed to remove temp avatar copy "

When I go to "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp" and delete an folder called "avatar" I'm able to change my avatars till i log in to my Pc again.
But in this folder is just the avatar of my Microsoft-Account, nothing from teamspeak.

Anybody knows how to fix that permanent?
