    Hosting Server random Crashes

I am renting a dedicated server box and I have TS3 on it. I sometimes have random crashes and the server will go offline and not start back up. Is there a way to get TS3 to restart automatically upon a random crash of any sort or a way to put it on TCadmin?

in the server section (linux) are several postings for startup script.
    i have posted one to.

    or, do like me xD

i created a HTML startup script.
so you could manage you TS server by stop/start it over HTML.
dont forgot to htaccess both HTML and CGI-BIN directory

you will need a startup script that knows to not startup if its already on, then hit that every second with some cronjob. 99.9% of the time it wont do any work so its ok to spam the crap out of it every second, then when TS3 beta server crashes it will be back up in 1 second, and just a quick disconnect / connect happens when you are on the server.

    mine does.
the problem is, when you want to check it over a cronjob, it start a server, even when you NOT want it, so you need double security.

this version of script does not apeal to a pid file, becouse evertime i hadthe script running with a pid file check something else crashes the script.

the script is as it is.

But what you want, with a cron job is easy to make, i have it for my game servers.
it checks if a PID file exist (but not read the content), and than checks for a running server.
(tricky part on the job, and in the start section)
if pid exist, and running server, echo back Running server, doing nothing.
if pid exist, and NO running server, echo back no running server, start server again.
if NO pid exist, echo back, No running server, do nothing

and let crontab do this every minute xD
the problem, when you intergrate above in the startscript, you are not allowed to make any changes on the fly on the script, or it wil make the script goes guru.
    but yes, its possible..
you crontab needs something like this
    0-59/5 * * * * /etc/table/parseip
or, in case like mine server
    0-59/5 * * * * usersID /path/to/server/start_TS3 start

but when you have a good stable machine, you wont need it (unless your machine is screwed up)

    Try to wipe your DB.

If your running 2 servers and you updated the server from beta2 to beta3 or higher it will crash unless you wipe DB. Also posting your logs would help.
