    Sometimes linux has issues with txt files created in windows..if thats how your editing them try to use nano.

    delete your existing file...putty into your server and cd to the directory that cantains your ts3 server then type.

    "nano ts3db_mysql.ini"
    paste below into it.

    make sure the info below is in it with the correct username and password for your mysql server and the database is already created. dont forget to hit the enter key after the socket line.

    Code:
    [config]
    host=localhost
    port=3306
    username=xxxxx
    password=xxxxx
    database=teamspeak
    socket=
    no hit "ctrl x" to save
    hit "y" to confirm
    and then enter key.

    make sure your calling the file ts3db_mysql.ini by way of ts3server.ini or commandline.

    you need this only once...it is the location to import the default tables.

    Did you read the docs?

    Code:
    To start the TeamSpeak 3 Server with MySQL support, you need to specify the "dbplugin"
    commandline parameter. You may also need to specify the "dbsqlcreatepath" parameter if
    you're starting the server instance for the first time since the syntax of the MySQL
    installation files differs from SQLite3.

    Same here.
    Checked the files bit for bit.
    Checked for Carriage Return + Line Feed, only Linefeed, with socket= [NOTHING], without...

    Serouisly...

    1. IF a server automatically creates a ini, why isnt he using it?
    2. Parameters like
    Code:
    ./ts3server_whatever_arch dbplugin=ts3db_mysql dbsqlcreatepath=create_mysql/
    are crap and useless, IF they are stated in the server.ini:

    So, if in pure dope:
    Code:
    ./ts3server_linux_x86 inifile=ts3server.ini
    ^^ That should be more than enough. So I guess, the beta is a beta for sqllite, but alpha for mysql.

    It would be very nice to get a statement from the devs regarding this.

    SYS
    Code:
    # cat /etc/debian_version

    Maybe its my preempt kernel?

    Hope there is something usefull...

    BTW: Fireing server up without any parameters, creates sqllitedb, loads license, wonderfull. Tested only to that point in console since I'll only use mysql.

    Missing libmysqlclient, you may want to install it using apt-get or aptitude.

    Uhhh, didn't see it... ARGH!

    However

    Code:
    # echo $PATH
    /usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/lib
    Code:
    # locate libmysqlclient.so.15
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.15
    /usr/lib/libmysqlclient.so.15.0.0
    Same thing... Strange. I did it also link in te teamspeak folder.. Need to fix that somehow...

    Thanks for your eyes

    /e: Fixed.
    My Debian is a x64 System with ia32-libs installed. For some unknown reason is the dependency not beeing resolved properly on 32 bit version.

    However,

    Code:
    # ./ts3server_linux_amd64 inifile=myconfigfile.ini
    works now.

    Here a cookie for the devs while I was testing clear_database:

    TS3 BETA 5 b9462
    Code:
    # ./ts3server_linux_amd64 dbplugin=ts3db_mysql clear_database=1
