An imported identity of WinXP-32bit doesn't seem to work in Win7-64bit. Is this possible?

An imported identity of WinXP-32bit doesn't seem to work in Win7-64bit. Is this possible?

I have a problem. I am a server admin and I want my "identity" also use on a laptop on the go. If I would now like to export my identity "and then import it on the laptop again, my whole server admin rights away.
Do I have to note something else, or I have really done everything right?

Take care to select the newly imported identity when connecting.
Connections -> Connect -> More -> Identity -> Select your newly imported identity.

I would then automatically switch back to the group "Server Admin" and will have my rights?
