    Hi

There was at least one thread already about this with a couple of opinions. Check here.

This will be added as an optional sort setting "channel under client" for your own client.
This is on developers ToDo list.

Any news upon implentation ETA on this? Subchannels are basically useless for us still, it just doesn't make sense to me that you end up underneith subchannels if you're in the parent channel.

Well if it's low priority, i imagine it'll still be a little while. Last i knew, they were working on codecs and other to-do items. I'd start looking for it in a few releases maybe?

While it is not something that people used to, there's sense in this wish, don't you think?

    Sorting Clients & Channels

Is there a way to sort clients BEFORE subchannels? By default, the current view is very misleading, making clients look like they're in the channel directly above them when, in fact, they are in the parent of the channel above them.

    For example:

This looks like the three users at the bottom are in the "Other Games" channel when they are actually in the "Lobby". Yes, when you get used to TS's way of sorting you can think it through and figure it out, but it's just poor UI design no matter how you cut it...

    [suggestion] Usernames above sub-channel names

As it is currently, you see users below all the sub-channels contained within a channel.

Instead, I believe it would be easier to see who is in what channel by having users listed above the subchannels. Something similar to:

    -Main Channel
    --Username 1
    --Username 2
    ---Subchannel A
    ----Username 3
    ----Username 4
    ---Subchannel B
    ----Username 5

It's been a few months. I've just converted a crew of ~30 users from Ventrilo to TS3 and every single one doesn't get why the channels display above clients. It makes no visual sense at all. Everyone joins a sub channel thinking they're joining a group of people in the parent channel...

I dug through the options and didn't see this "Channel Under Client" option. Any chance it'll show up soon? UI wise, this really is a no brainer...

    Sounds very great.
Lets see in practice which next (or next-next :-) release.
    Thanks.

Sort order is client side. It'll be an option under the design tab.

I don't think this will be more confusing. If someone says look at Zero under channel A, then the person will know where to look. If they prefer one way or another, it doesn't matter as Zero is still under channel A.
