    File Transfering Speed Control Command

Command that controls Upload speed from client is working pretty well but
the download side seems to be not working.
    is this known bug/prob?

    Hi,
we are experiencing speed issues with file transfers... I am on a 20mbit connection and my download speed jumps up and down between 150 and 350 kbyte/sec, I never get full speed. This only happens with downloads, uploads have full speed... And since I have 5mbit upstream bandwidth, I can upload faster than I can download!! The TS server has set bandwidth limit to "-1". When I do http or ftp transfers from the same machine, I get full 2.5mbyte/sec. So it is not a problem with my connection or the server.

I'm having exactly same issue as yours. Only download speed is unstable and slow.

Did you solve this issue with that?
Which permission do I have to change to 100?

I'm testing this with server admin account but max granted UP/DL power was 75 and was not change-able

Quota size seems to be max file size that user can download so I dont think this is relating to the up speed problem.

If linux/mac user is not having this issue then this is windows only prob?

I doubt that it has to do with permissions...
People's permissions and server's settings are both the same for upload and download, but only the download part has problems.

I'm running my server with the default filetransfer settings and I'm getting around 40-50 MB/s with the server in my Gigabit network. Then the CPU limits the speed because TS3 needs lots of CPU power for data transfers.

Did anyone work this one out?

On our server we never download much higher then 100k, sometimes around 40kish. The server is on a 100meg connection so of course we have more speed then we're getting.

    afaik not yet.
I cant even tell whether this issue is coming from settings or a bug(compatibility?)

I would like to see official comment about this...

I am able to maximize transfer speed by running several downloads at the same time, but a single download usually runs very unstable at 100-300 kybte/sec.
This really needs to be fixed...

This is a know bug, with slow upload settings. The client use the cache so it seems that the client uploads much faster.
Is on todo list with low priority.

Why low priority? The filetransfer feature is one of the things wich distinguishes TS3 from all the other voice chat apps out there...
Downloading with very unstable speeds between 40 - 400 kbyte/sec renders the filetransfer feature useless for me.
But I'll try to be patient :-)
