    Changing things with Server Query

    Hello,

I have read some topics about using Server Query and i have got 1 problem.
I can't change things with Server Query, i get always the same error.

I go to Server Query and i fill in a code like this:
    Code:
    login serveradmin yourpasswordhere
    use sid=1
    servergroupaddclient sgid=2 cldbid=2
But i get the next error:
    Code:
    <01:52:11>
insufficient client permissions (failed on b_client_issue_client_query_command (20626/0x5092))
The login data are correct but what's the problem ?

Did you use the TS3 client's server query tool or did you use a stand-alone telnet client?

In order to avoid a potential problem with the TS3 client, use e.g. the windows telnet command:

    In Windows: run command:
    telnet

    open yourserverip 10011
    ... TS3 is shown
    use 1
    ... error id=0 msg=ok
    login serveradmin yourpasswordhere
    ... error id=0 msg=ok
    servergroupaddclient sgid=2 cldbid=2
    ... error id=0 msg=ok
    quit

Alternatively you might want to use PuTTY for the telnet connection.

Check if your password contains the pipe "|", the slash "/" or the backslash "\" character. Those have to be re-written in the telnet connection as "\p", "\/", and "\\", respectively.
