You mean be able to connect to something like www.myclan.com with TS3?

I'd like to know too, because my TS3 crashes when I try.

You need root hosting, not webhosting.

TSł resolves TDL to IP and then it will connect to the IP. Works good for me (same ip for webserver and TSł Server). If you want to connect to your TSł Server which is not hosted on your webserver, you need an DNS A entry for a subdomain. Maybe ts3.yourdomain.com to ip. But you need to have the right to do that, i'm not sure, if there is an option in webhosting systems like plesk or confixx.

Well I'm using the free service dyndns.com provides. My soljia.homeip.net doesn't work on TS3 but I have a second one that does work. Very weird.
