    Music bot possible?

    Hello!

Its possible to make a music bot for ts3? So that would just connect to server, stay in a channel, and play previously selected music. If its possible, someone can make it? I think that would be cool.

Oh and sorry for bad english.

Maybe with file upload limited to the "radio" channel, only mp3 or so??

yea, this would be great! Like you upload some music to the Channel and it will automatically stream it .

    As an Example:

I have an Music channel Created.
Put an 2nd PC in it, make is keep sending and start VLC.
In VLC activate HTTP and activate the IP and Port,
where u want to have access from outside.

then if anybody knows ur DynDNS-Domain and the port of ur VLC
he can change titel, or seek next Title, and so on.

    it works fine for me

The way I do it is..

I use my second computer for the "bot".

In windows control panel, sounds, set your output to Aux or whatever your setting is.

In teamspeak goto Setting, Options, Capture and set it to continuous.

Start up your media player and let it start playing, just have everything else muted on the bot puter. It'll take a little volume adjusting i'm sure.

The trick is just figuring out the settings in windows to record to teamspeak rather than your speakers.

Easy to test, just jump in the same channel as the bot..

Hope this helps, i'm not the best at instructions.

This can consume some bandwith depending on quality ..

the problem is, that in most cases u need a homeclient with established internet connection and ts3 running.

my own perfect soloution would be a text-based TS3 Client/Bot for my root server (openSuse) who streams mms, xms or mp3 files!
(maybe mp3 files which where uploadet in the channel filemanager)

right now i tried to stream musik from my computer with 1 TS3 client.
i esthablished a second server connection and set some presets to use one connection to stream musik with my onboard soundcard and the other connection to talk with my usb-headset.
but i think that canīt be a permanent solution, cause my homeclient isnīt online 24/7

    sry for that bad english
anyway.. i hope u understand my point of view

    regards

    Talking

    dude... built in

    Music Bot...
Plays music from a folder located in the files directory
folder called Music (of course), only able to be modified by Server Admin!
Only Channel or Server Admin can change songs manually (much like a regular music player like WMP or the like), otherwise it will play either continuous or random (set by an option), additionally you can have a setting that makes it accept requests from any user (in the channel its in of course... and the request gets removed if that person leaves... or you could make an option that works like that) so it can queue requests up...
Of course CA/SA can have all those options plus lots more like a standard or modifiable EQ, Volume, ectera...

my head... just exploded... because i think its totally possible... (which head?)

The only problem with this is that it seems that you cannot connect to original TS3 server with clients created with the TS3 SDK (which is sad). If that was possible, then yes, a server-based music bot, that runs directly on the TS3 server and plays music uploaded to a channel would be definitely possible.

I tried to make at least a client-plugin for TS so that you don't need Virtual Audio Cables or Stereo-Mix but that is also impossible because FMOD's Recording is very simple. Too simple. Or has anybody a good idea how to do that?
    Greetings

Is this true? I already had some ideas with the SDK but without the possibility to connect to a standard server they don't make sense

From what I have read about it, yes. Currently it seems impossible to interact with official TS3 software using the SDK.

    Officially BUGGY* TS3 BETA Software**

    **Fixed for you
*PTT issues whereas after a certain amount of time you must press the PTT key from 1-6sec longer then you actually talk, when its an active window -IE not minimized/trayed- it takes up almost 100% of which ever CPU is assigned to, more bugs are not listed here but are present... these however are on the top of my list (that and no WinMobile client LOL )
