    Issue regarding Whisperlists

    Hi,

first of all: great job so far and thank you for TS3 :-)

I'm a member of a F16 community, and we currently do some reasearch / testing stuff if the new TS3 fits to our TS requirements / behavior.

Unitll now we figured out, that the whisperlist feature does not have the expected behavior like it is in TS2.

Our channel structure is a bit complex since we need lots of different mission and flight rooms, for instance:

    -Falcon
    --Mission1
    ---Flight1
    ---Flight2
    ---Flight3

    --Mission2
    ---Flight1
    ---Flight2
    ---Flight3

    -IL2
    --Mission1
    ---Flight1
    ---Flight2
    ---Flight3

    --Mission2
    ---Flight1
    ---Flight2
    ---Flight3

This is a simplified example, I think you got the idea..

Now, if we decide to assign a whisperlist containing Flight1 within the Falcon/Mission1 AND Flight1 within the Falcon/Mission2 , its not possible because TS3 appearantly just filters the channel names, regardless of its (absolute) path.

Because of that its not possible to assign channel names which have identical names, but different paths within the tree structure.

Is there a chance, that you guys fix this?

Thanks for the "path-fix" in the whisper list of the new beta9 version.

Beyond that it would be very handy to have also the alternative to whisper into channels due to a kind of relative path - like in the good old TS2.

For example: It was possible to assign a hotkey to whisper into the channels "Flight1" to "Flight3". So if you are in "Mission1/Flight1" you can broadcast into the subchannels of "Mission1". But if you are the next time in "Mission2/Flight1" the very same hotkey empowers you to communicate now with other pilots in "Flight1" to "Flight3" of the "Mission2 parent channel".

The point is: We don't want to have whisper lists for every parent channel and therefore a bunch of hotkeys. At least a function like "whisper to sister channels" would be great.

    Thank You R. Ludwig.
Our group looks forward in testing this change.
