Raspberry Pi - get off your lazy sitons

    Hi

I would like to, respectfully ^^, ask for a server version of ts3 built for arm CPUs running Linux or, maybe in the near future, windows 8.

Especially since the server does not eat up that many resources as the client and arm CPUs become more and more available it would really be nice to run a ts3 server from a sheeva plug or a raspberry or equal Hardware.

I am aware that you would rather sell a licence and totally understand that, but it still would be a rather nice thing to do, especially since an x86 emulation is really a pain in the youknowwhere on a 700 MHz arm.

    regards

    Thread got merged

    I can vouch for this.

Switching from a 200W home-server to a 1W Raspberry Pi would save me hundreds of euros a year. It would also lower the entry level for TeamSpeak 3 by a great amount (since really, how many young gaming groups have an actual server available to them?).

Rumor has it the dev team already has an ARM version, but it isn't available outside of the developers team. Just a single download is all I need, I wouldn't mind being left out on later patches.

4 years ago it would have been innovative.

1 year ago it would have been news.

You cannot compile ts3 with -march armv4t flags. It will not work. It has been verified by dev posts. Please forget low powered servers. It will not happen.

The TeamSpeak 3 server is currently not available for ARM CPUs and hence you cannot run TeamSpeak 3 server on that device.

I'm voting for it too. All my WoW guild friends are familiar with TS. I don't want to switch to mumble, if I can prevent it.

I succeeded to get it running on Raspberry pi using an ugly workaround via qemu. It may not the best experience a native version would bring, but it is running at least.

We test it in our next World of Warcraft session

    See http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com...speak-3-server for more details.
