I need Access to IP on Login (Mysql)

    Hello Chaps,

What Mysql Variable can I use on the login SQL to access a clients IP address, since I notice its not noted nor documented (that I have seen) but believe it will almost certainly be available. such as :client_ip:

If I can be provided this I can make a TS2 style logins work on sites that are using it so its rather important.

To answer my own question you cannot; they have not provided any means of gaining the IP of a client - I believe this is an oversight and that it should be added at the very least by the clientinfo command.

The client IP is available in the "Connection Info" dialog in the client, but I don't get why the IP should help in implementing a login system.

It seems you cannot query the IP using ServerQuery. But I would be interested what you try to achieve if you can read out the IP
