The only way to accomplish this is to use passwords. Using the permissions system, you can do this:

    Channels: A, B, C, D

    Group 1: Can Join All
Group 2: Can Join All but A
    Group 3: Can Join C and D
Group 4: Can Only Join D

As I understand it, you want this:

    Channels: A, B, C, D

    Group 1: Can Join A
    Group 2: Can Join B
    Group 3: Can Join C
    Group 4: Can Join D

If you want the first one, let me know and I can explain it. If you want the second one, you'll have to use channel passwords (unless someone else knows a way to do this).

    I have corectly this Problem:

We can give the Join power for a channel (special: only for Admins) 75
and other User cant Connect to this Channel....we dont need a Password.

But when u Want tha the Users can Join without Talk Power
you can edit the Channel end set the Talk power to 75 and Only
Admins have a Voice in this channel.

Admins can Give a Talk Power for a Time for other User and Revoke.

    @UF|Renegade|LTG
This was not the way we are looking for but Thanks....

Can anybody help me to give a Power number for my Only Create Groups ?

I'm a little confused as to what you want...

Do you want to know how to change a group's talk power? Or join power? Or something else?

What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

Renegade, i exactly trying to realize your way with the permission system.

where can i set the permissions?

    i have 4 groups and X Channels

    Group 1: guests (default)
Group 2: Friends (just for public gaming)
    Group 3: Member (for Clanwars)
    Group 4: Admins

i need some channels for Guests, some channels for friends, some for member and one channel just for admins.

-can i set a "channel-permission" that only a specified "minimum-group-level" can join that channel?

    or

    - must i set every group a right to join a specified channel?

do you understand me? how can i realize that?

Sry [email protected]@ that i use your thread for my question, but i think Renegade´s answer may help you too.

Alright, so there are two permissions that you will need. They are called...

    i_channel_join_power (Channel Join Power)
    i_channel_needed_join_power (Needed Channel Join Power)

Both of these can be found in the Permissions Tree (CTRL + F1)
    Channel -> Access -> ___

You will set the Join Power for the server groups, and the Needed Join Power for the Channels.

So Select the server group you want to change, right-click the Channel Join Power, and select Add Permission. Next, on the right, change the value (default is 75 or 100 depending on your permissions). Use the table below to choose which values to use.

Then go into the Channel Permissions tab (or CTRL + F3) and find that same permission group in the right-hand window. Highlight the proper channel on the left, and follow the same steps for Needed Channel Join Power.

    Example:
    Channels:
Default Chat (Don't set the permission!)
Friends Chat (Needed Channel Join Power = 10)
Members Only Chat (Needed Channel Join Power = 20)
Admins Only Chat (Needed Channel Join Power = 30)

    Server Groups:
Guest Group (Don't set the permission!)
Friends Group (Channel Join Power = 10)
Members Group (Channel Join Power = 20)
Admins Group (Channel Join Power = 30)

thanks.. that was a good pointer to solve my problem..

but that alone will not work properly.
cause.. if u add a user to a server group, he will lose all other permissions. e.g. channel_join_permanent and so on.

is there a possibility, to inherit the "default" permissions?
sure, i could copy the group in mySQL, but i think that isnt the right way to solve that "bug"

A client can be in more than one server group, with the exception of Guest. So you could have:

TS User (All the default perms etc.)
Then all your groups for channel access.

Or, if you don't want to do that, you can set the Channel Join Power for each member individually. Member Name -> Right-Click -> Permissions -> Client Permissions. Then it's the same as permissions for a server group.

    My desire to solve:

Just like you can assign client-specific rights, you should be able to also assign a group of several rights.

I agree. They should really add something along the lines of letter permissions instead of numbers, this way you could assign multipe types of permissions to server groups thus enabling channels that were only reachable by specific server groups instead of the higher permission you are the more channels you can access.

It would be nice to change "Channel Permissions" in to "Channel Servergroup", like there is the "Channel Client".
So, you can set channel-permissions for servergroups (esp. for modifying and join/subcribe).
