    Hi,

check your process list with ps aux | more if you have already any Server running on this ports. Looks like that a server is already running.

    Hi,

your server process is running 3 times that is your issue.

    web6 6514 0.0 0.4 18616 4420 ? Sl Jan04 0:00 ./ts3server_linux_x86
    web6 7195 0.0 0.4 17516 4320 ? Sl Jan04 0:00 ./ts3server_linux_x86
    web6 7904 0.0 0.4 17512 4316 ? Sl Jan04 0:00 ./ts3server_linux_x86

    type: killall ts3server_linux_x86

    And try it again.

Start your server next time over screen (google) or use a scrip, can find in this Forum.

Since this is beta, you have to leave the console up to keep the server process active. You should be able to connect to the server once you have...
    VirtualServer | 1| listening on 0.0.0.0:9987

Do you have a firewall running? Check iptables....
    iptables -L

    Hi!

Ok, I've closed WinSCP, tried to connect and it failed.
I've tried iptables, but it writes back error
-bash: line 6: iptables: command not found
    this should be susie linux

I honestly don't know about firewall as it's not my server, and the owner is not replying for my mails for some time now..

What else can I do? I've tried to connect to the server through WinSCP using 9987 port, but it failed (frozen)...

Connecting WinSCP to port 9987 will never work. Teamspeak uses UDP ports, and WinSCP uses TCP ports. You seem to have the correct ports open. When you launch TS3, are you closing the window? You can close the window (putty) while you have the server running (unless you are starting it with a script that uses screen). If you closed the window, login with putty again, kill TS3 (killall ts3server_lin) then start it again. Leave the window open, then connect with the TS3 client. If you still cant get in, post the output of this command...
    cat /etc/SuSE-release

    Ok,
this is the output for linux:
    SUSE LINUX 10.1 (i586)
    VERSION = 10.1

    What I'm doing:
I'm not using Putty, I'm connecting to server using WinSCP through console (terminal). I don't use script or ini.
    1) I've executed killall ts3server_linux_x86
    2) than execute ./ts3server_linux_x86
    3) Closing terminal & WinSCP
    4) opening TS3client
    5) connecting to server - this is the message I get:
<22:51:40> Failed to connect to server

Than doing the same steps without closing console: kill - launch - while console is open connecting with TS3 client... the same result.

May be I'm doing something wrong?

    Download putty..
    http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/.../x86/putty.exe
Login to you server, and it should give you a command line...
    [email protected]:~#
CD into the directory where TS3 is installed..
    cd /path/to/ts3
Kill any TS3 processes that are running...
    killall ts3server_linux_x86
    Then run TS3
    ./ts3server_linux_x86

From here you will be able to connect, as long as you leave putty up...

    Using keyboard-interactive authentication.
    Password:
    Access denied
    Using keyboard-interactive authentication.
    Password:

it just don't react to keyboard, I don't know how to log-in, sorry

    Hi,

putty doesn't write your password so you can't see it. Type your password and hit the neter buton it will be working no worrys

And start your server with ./ts3server_linux_x86 &

Now you can close your putty and your server will we working.

But this is the easiest way better is to use screen or a script.

    Hi!

Ok, this is what I got:
    Attachment 2240

and than it's freezing this way. I have the same when connected through WinSCP, it wrote that server is not responding and I needed to relaunch terminal.

Sorry, but I still cannot connect to TS3 server, not with putty, nor without...
    Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi,

please do again an ps aux | grep "ts3server_linux_x86"

and post the result, very strange issue but i think you have still 2 or more process running or that is an issue with the right of the files.

please do als an ls -l and post the result.
