As the topic says, will there be a permission to set a max filesize for uploads?

As the topic says, will there be a permission to set a max filesize for uploads?
On the one hand people are requesting more and more permissions to be added but on the other hand people start to complain about the "complexity" of the permission system.
I am afraid this won't come to a happy end.
The problem is, people can upload unlimited files with unlimited size on the server.
The quota doesnt really help if you have someone who has a file und reuploads it regularly. His quota will be exceeded in no time.
No offenseIndeed this is a good idea.
This is already possible from what i see.
For the permissions, Go to File Transfer at the bottom of this section you will see (in show description mode) Upload quota per client in MByte. You need to change that from -1 to your desired quota (in megabytes)
I think that is what you are looking for.
Permission "max filesize" won't be included, user can still split his file.
No.
As i already said. This quota is how much you can upload in one month.
If i set it to 100 MB and you have a 100 MB file, you can upload it once in a month. You cant even reupload it when it was deleted.
Filesize was the wrong term.
Its something like "max diskspace" i am looking for. So you can assign x MB for uploads for each client. So nobody can fill the server, but you are still able to delete and reupload a file as often as you want.
Hallo
I have a little problem.
I will limit the filsize of a file to upload in my ts3 server to 10 mb.

Thanks for help.

There is no way to limit the filesize of a single File nor the total amount of all Files uploaded to the server, the only thing you can do is limit the Traffic that is allowed for each month (which you can change in the location pointed out by Jordi above).
The client can see the file size, it could send the file size to the server and check to make sure its within the limit placed by the server. If we can have a limit to the size of avatars and icons then why not files?
Some of my TS-users keep uploading big files (>1GB) using file-browser. Is there any way to limit size of uploaded files?

No it is not possible and as far as I remember the official statement: this behavior will not be changed.
Excuse me. We still have this issue.
Please add a possibility to limit the disk space on virtual server basis. I cannot find any responsible reason why this feature is rejected.
In this thread for example you rejected the same suggestion, but you did not understand the user correctly. After he has explained what he really wanted, he got no answer from you.
Diskspace is not an issue nowadays and almost everyone has it in abundance, on the other hand bandwidth / traffic is what is expensive and thus can be limited. If you want to limit the amount of diskspace that can be used you can use your operating systems disk quota management to limit the amount of space that can be consumed.
