I have no idea, if you have all the server logs available (from initial install) I think it shows the key in the first log

what you need is to create a new server admin i guess. so what you need for that is a new token/privilege key.

you have 2 ways of doing that, you can do it via telnet, or via serverquery from the teamspeak client.

so you can generate a new token.

or you can use the webinterface from Psychokiller which is prety easy to manage your server from there.

I need to re-become server administrator

I accidentally put myself in the normal user group but im the only one on the server, I cant figure out how to re-make myself the server admin. There are no other admins on the server. I have tried creating a new server and using the permission key, but it saves the settings. Please help!

Unfortunately, both of those methods require your admin login details, so far as I can tell. I am unable to locate those. I've tried suggestions elsewhere of checking the server log files when you start TS...but it's not listed as the FAQs say it should be:

    Code:

Unfortunately, when these were suggested earlier, neither worked for me. The manual password change for Linux errored out for me and I don't know what "sqliteman" is for the other option.

As for telent, as posted earlier, taking a guess on the login info just closes the window.

At this point, I've been futzing with this for several weeks - is there a way to backup my channels and just reinstall the server? I don't think that there's anything else that couldn't be set up in just a couple of minutes, right?

The password reset still doesn't work for me:

    Code:
    :~$ /etc/init.d/teamspeak start serveradmin_password=teamspeak
    Starting the TeamSpeak 3 server
TeamSpeak 3 server started, for details please view the log file

    Logs show:

    Code:
    2011-12-31 00:05:08.274097|INFO |ServerLibPriv | | TeamSpeak 3 Server 3.0.1 (2011-11-17 07:34:30)

When I go into the client on this machine and try to do a server query using "serveradmin" and "teamspeak," it says that I don't have sufficient permissions. When I try through putty:

    Code:
    login serveradmin teamspeak
    error id=520 msg=invalid\sloginname\sor\spassword
    What am I doing wrong?

I gave up and just reinstalled. Given how easy that turned out to be, I kinda wish I'd done that weeks ago. Thanks for all the help, anyway.

I reformated my HD and reinstalled Windows 7. I cant figure how to get my place back!

I rent a server and recently had to reformat my HD. Unfortunately the software has no idea who I am, and I cant figure out how to get my Admin status back to the server. I have the email from my renter with the admin key. Don't know what to do because it didn't ask me for one this time. (because server is already setup). Any help? Please and thank you.

    hi Nightphox

you cannot use a token twice. You have to use the import/export Funktion of "Settings/Identities",
If your Admin Token is a new one you can login to the Server and use Menu "Permissions/Use Token" enter Admin Token and you will get Admin

is there any way to create a new serveradmin token via SSH as root on a virtual server for TS3?

Im actually only Serveradmin on the Teamspeak Server.
The Suveradmin Token from the installation (log data) is lost.
And now i wanted to creat a new one.

    edit:
okay i found a helpful thread in this forum:
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthrea...word-Look-here!

with this trick i can make teamspeak to post the serveradmin token in the log.
    nice
But if i want to use it, teamspeak tells me "the token is already in use" (translated from german)

    Now the new Question:
How can i delete the Superuser?

    okay.
    last edit from me.
    i got it.
i downloaded an sqllite database editor and changed the "ts3server.sqlitedb".
A friend of mine installed ts3 on the server and was serveradmin but he decided to live offline since he got a girlfriend.
    So.
I changed his id with my.

Edit by mod Never make changes directly on database. You have the query commands - Look at the top of this thread

    Restarted the teamspeak server
    and voil
    im serveradmin

    maybe this helps somebody else.
