Does anyone have any good strategies to restrict joining specific channels based off primary language or residing country?
Thus far, I have just created, for example "Persian Speaker" group for the channel that is designated for those whom speak Persian, but, the issue resides in the fact that it is also dictated off Join Power. So if Persians have 7 join power, they can still join channels by lets say Hindi speakers, who have channels with 6 join power. It is really annoying and encourages trolling since the users feel they found an exploit.
Is there a more efficient or simpler way to employ this system? Something like maybe, only with users with this SPECIFIC join number can join said room?

Hello,
I was wondering if you can link group X to channel X and only be allowd to join that channel, even if a other group has a higher join power.
if anyone got some tips or some commands i have to add please let me know.
Thanks

It's only possible with channel groups no server group can have same or higher join power for this channel

Hi,
My friend ask me for help. He wants a new server (or channel) group with specific requirements. I was trying to solve that problem but there is still one thing that I can't handle with it. He wants a section for ppl with private channels and this is what I am trying to do.
1. New group for private channels.
2. New user can join only to his own channel.
3. New user has permissions only for his channel.
4. He can move ppl only to his channel.
5. He can't move ppl from other private channels - this is the most difficult thing to solve for me.
6. He doesn't have permissions for other sections, channels. (Guest group doesn't have any permissions).
7. He can join only to his channel/channels
8. Optionally - he can create sub-channels.
Hope there is a solution without using bots.
I think what you are looking for is something like this. Look at the two screenshots i attached. The first are the permissions for "private channels" and the second is for a channel group.
This should cover most of your requirements, however point 8) might be a bit tricky, because when someone creates a sub-channel he becomes Channel Admin to that channel, so another group would get involved. And the sub-channel would have to be created with the same permissions from the "channel" screenshot, if not it may be that someone else can join that channel.
Hope this helps. If you have further questions i am happy to help.

Istalantar
You have to use Channels groups to achieve want you want to do.
Hello,
I'm just wondering is there a way to only allow certain groups to join certain channels.
Eg. Support has join power of 35
But I don't want to allow them to join a specific channel and allow a different group have Join power of 35 to join is is that possible?

You do that with channel groups. Create one as explained in post #2.

As said create a channel group with join power. Set needed join power to 99 and set groups join power to 99 as an example.
Now only the channel group can join that channel (with the exception that other groups have more join power or ignore channel permissions).

I have several Channels in TS3:
Recruitment OfficeI have Officers tagged with certain Server Groups:
Intelligence Office
Combat Office
etc.
Recruitment OfficerEach Channel in TS3 requires a Password to join.
Intel Officer
Combat Officer
etc.
Here is my question.
How can I get the Officer Server Groups able to skip the passwords for their respective Channels only?
I want Combat Officers only to access the Combat Office, all others requiring a password. The same for Intel Officers, etc.
