    This is beta, you shouldn't be using it in such a dependent nature.

    Perhaps beta 19 can address this and we can wait for it? I dont see any clear answer on what I should do to get beta 18 upgraded.
    Not going to take the chance of destroying all the customers data and having to reinstall them because the database format may have changed for beta 18

    I hope I can go from beta 17 to 19 without problems or someone from the Dev Team can explain how to upgrade to beta 18 successfully.
    With this attitude you may encounter some unhappy customers someday, as they cannot use all the features TS3 offers.
    One day you will have to make all these database changes manually or setup a complete new database, as this will (can) never be done automatically.

    Moreover, all the information you need are on the first page, but beware of the post from wolverine, as there is an error in it.
    The third SQL statement has a false value, so I would recommend you do the serverquerys, as there everything is correct and you can just copy & paste any line.

    I also assume that you did not make the SQL changes when upgrading from beta16 to beta17. So you will have to check the thread to beta17 and fire up these sql commands first.

    @mavmike: create a ticket and somone will guide you.

    @all
    just for the info, we are increasing the server performance currently so it can take one week, maybe even two
    until we are able to release the next build. ofcourse, as soon our public server runs more stable with latest
    fixes/tuning we release a pre-beta-release.

    It still shows
    Code:
    insert into perm_server_group (server_id, id1, id2, perm_id, perm_value, perm_negated, perm_skip) values (0, 3, 0, "b_group_icon_manage", 8192, 0, 0);
    but should be
    Code:
    insert into perm_server_group (server_id, id1, id2, perm_id, perm_value, perm_negated, perm_skip) values (0, 3, 0, "b_group_icon_manage", 1, 0, 0);
    I assumed that this is wrong, because of

    A) value of 8192 does not make sense for "b_group_icon_manage"
    B) in the serverquery sample this same value is set to 1

    that is why you should only set the ignore_permissions true database to your serverqueryadmin, the rest you can all do by queryadmin then.

    this saves you from messing up the database unless you do the ignore_permissions wrong.

    its not that we dont read it, I have been over this dozens of times. Its just that we have alot to lose if it doesnt work correctly.
    The problem with the solution is it provides a solution to only 1 server, probably the first virtualserver 9987
    We have hundreds.

    So, our solution would be much more complicated. Someone also mentioned that I have to do something for beta 16 to beta 17 first, so what would have happened if I ran these queries before those ones?

    I see you have like "use sid 1" , that doesnt cover what hosting providers need.
    Mine would atleast involve grabbing all the sid's, then performing queries for each virtualserver, if all sid's need updates to the queries.

    What I need is the queries for 16 to 17 then 17 to 18, but for all virtual servers, and no static number sid's because those numbers can be different once servers are deleted and installed multiple times.

    the quiries are listed in the previous threads for the previos versions.

    what you could do is the following: look at how many servers there are, then copy that amount to serverID's then paste the query commands.

    like:
    Code:
    login serveradmin PASSWORD
    use sid1
    use sid2
    use sid3
    use sid4
    /* etc, till you reach your amount then add the query commands

    servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permsid=i_needed_modify_power_group_icon_manage permvalue=100 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=2 permsid=i_needed_modify_power_group_max_icon_filesize permvalue=100 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=3 permsid=b_group_icon_manage permvalue=1 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=3 permsid=i_group_max_icon_filesize permvalue=8192 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=3 permsid=i_needed_modify_power_group_icon_manage permvalue=75 permnegated=0 permskip=0
    servergroupaddperm sgid=3 permsid=i_needed_modify_power_group_max_icon_filesize permvalue=75 permnegated=0 permskip=0

    Again, it is beta, you should not be using it in a production environment.

    If I remember correctly, I read somewhere in the forums a post of the developers some days ago, that they are working on it currently.
