This is not a bug of the bot. This is a bug of the TS3 client which is not repeating the right space character if you use the chat history.

    Look here:
    http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=56140

I just checked this, seems not fixed in the current TS3 client version?!? Maybe I should add a workaround for the next bot version.

    New release with small changes:

    Version 3.3.3 Final (17.08.2010)
o Bot replace now for incoming chat messages the wrong space char from TS3 client history with the normal space.
o Some small changes to the reconnect / disconnect code.
This version also have a workaround included for a small TS3 client bug (which is not fixed currently): http://forum.teamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=56140

    Hi all...

I have 1 question, and I hope it could be possibul to make.

I have use this system in a while, and it works like a charm. (thumbs up)

My problem is, that I have Danish, Swedish, Norweigian and Finnish users, on my Teamspeak, and many of them was asking, if it is possibul to give them a welcome message in there own language.

You know like, when a Swedish logs on, he gets a Swedish welcome message, and the same as for Danish etc etc.

We have already made groups for each country.

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Cheers

Actually you can define a special message for groups that will differe from the default welcome message.

I think that it could be possible to better this functionnality and to define separate messages for separate groups, and not common like how it is now.

The other possiblitiy could be to implement a function (that the user will activate) that will have the country list (based on IP) and then make the user the possibility to define a message for each country. (maybe the country flag at the begining of the phrase or a config file per country).

But this can be a disadvantage too, as if you speak english and you are traveling and are connecting from germany for exemple, you would recieve a message in german.

The best would be to have both, group and IP based ^^

As default you could enable the IP based, and only the messages that are configured for a specific country would be used (meaning you don't have to configure a message for all countries ^^).

And if you want some people have a specific welcome message in a specific language, then you'll use the group message.

Actually i think that what is missing is to be able to define a different message for different groups.

So Stefan1200, what are you thinking about all of this ? :P

There are many peoples who likes to be more flexible with the welcome message. But there are much internal changes and additions needed to make this possible. So it is too much work to make it soon.

Currently I have not that much "fun" in programming, so I do only more important things, like bug fixing, smaller feature requests and so on. But the time will come where I will completely rewrite the whole welcome message stuff .

Sorry if this has already been answered, but I'd like to be able to use this bot purely for the bad nickname feature, but rather than disallowing a given regex, I'd like to be able to make a user use a particular nickname format (set out in regex) and reject anything else.

Is this possible with your bot?

Currently not, but something like this is on my ToDo.

    Code:
Clients with away status will be moved to Channel "AFK" (99) after 10 seconds and moved back if not away anymore!
    even when
    Code:
    Value of away_move_delay: 300

Thats because only values between 0 and 10 are allowed.

[[email protected] teamspeak3-server_linux-x86]# java -jar JTS3ServerMod.jar
    JTS3ServerMod 3.3.3 Final (17.08.2010) Instance Manager started...
Poison: Virtual bot instance starts now
    Poison: Successful connected to XXXXXXXXXXXXXX!
    Poison: Login as "SA2" successful!
Poison: Successful selected virtual server 1!
Poison: Error while getting channel list: ServerQuery Error 3331 @ getList(): flood ban
    Poison: Virtual bot instance stopped

Noticing this I take it I set it up to use Poison as a name, login as SA2, and it logs in correctly but gets banned for flooding? It is in the same folder on a linux VPS as the TS Server, and I even (altho shouldnt have had to) added its own IP to the IP white list.

All permissions are set to the Admin ServerQuery Group that are supposed to be.

P.S. Neither command in your thingy worked for doing it in screen. So I just did that jar instead.

For the screen, it's probably cause you don't have it intalled.

As for the ban, after having adding the 127.0.0.1 ip adresse (as you told it is on the same server as the ts3) did you reboot your Ts3 instance ?

The flood ban is only because the bot is doing to much command and is not in the whitelist (or the whitelist is not read correctly).
